Under The Radar

Confetti dumped down upon the thousands of elrow regulars, performers, giant puppets, and newcomers who gathered at the Brooklyn Mirage last weekend. The 10+ hour, three-stage, globe-trotting theme party made a stop in NYC for the second time this year, this time under the event's Bollywood-inspired "Rowllywood" theme. Partygoers danced the night away to the spinning of popular DJs like Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, and Desert Hearts. The Brooklyn Mirage was overflowing with Bollywood-themed decor and a panoramic view of the glitzy New York City skyline to the west.

The origins of elrow date back to a social club in Fraga, Spain, in 1870. Over the span of six generations the family of elrow's founders expanded and evolved the party scene into what is now a global brand, and one of the biggest, most flamboyant parties in the world.

One of the best things about this clubbing experience is the crowd itself. The majority of attendees become a part of the experience by wearing elaborate, eccentric costumes and displaying their personal brands of showmanship. It can be impossible to distinguish the difference between performers and audience members as it all combines into a massive explosion of color, lights, sounds, and pizzazz. Groups of friends leave with even bigger groups of friends.

Elrow returns to Brooklyn in December and will host thirty parties in cities such as Budapest, Zurich, Ibiza, Amsterdam, Lima, Las Vegas, London, through the end of the year.
