We Are One: Dance, Respect & Empower
Diversity, equity and respect are fundamental pillars present in every corner of elrow. We can't imagine a party without a space where everyone feels safe, free, celebrated and welcome. We work continuously so that our events reflect a diverse, open and barrier-free community.
Universal accessibility
We firmly believe that music and culture should be enjoyed by everyone on equal terms. That's why we work closely with the Music For All Foundation, a leading organisation in the accessibility of music events, to audit and implement inclusive measures at our festivals:
-
Accessible infrastructure: We design routes free of architectural barriers, raised platforms with guaranteed stage visibility for people with reduced mobility (PRM) and accessible toilets in all main areas of the venue.
-
Personalised support and services: We have height-adapted bars, priority entrances and access routes, and trained assistance staff to accompany attendees who need it.
-
Sensory and inclusive experience: We incorporate accessible signage and are working on integrating hearing loops, vibrating backpacks and cognitive and pre-event information accessibility measures to ensure a fully immersive and autonomous experience.
Diversity
Color, extravagance and the freedom to be yourself are the soul of elrow. We are proud to be part of REDI (Business Network for LGBTI+ Diversity and Inclusion), reaffirming our ongoing commitment to creating 100% safe, diverse and respectful workplaces and party spaces for the LGTBIQ+ community.
We go one step further in giving visibility to queer culture through flagship initiatives such as the Pink Cathedral, the first elrow stage designed, curated and led entirely by LGTBIQ+ collectives and artists.
The Pink Cathedral is a sanctuary of hedonism, diversity and freedom of expression that has already carried its message of love and tolerance from London and Amsterdam to Madrid, establishing itself as a space for celebration, visibility and inclusion within electronic music worldwide.
Equality
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of gender-based violence, assault, sexual harassment or LGTBIphobic behaviour. Above all, we want the dance floor and our stages to be safe, equitable spaces of mutual care for everyone.
This vision of equality is also reflected on stage, where we actively promote the visibility of female talent. In our programming we consistently hold at around 30% female representation and mixed projects on our line-ups.
To make sure this vision reaches every corner of the festival, our staff receive specific training on our protocols for preventing, detecting and responding to sexual violence or discriminatory behaviour. This ongoing training ensures that everyone is prepared to identify risk situations and act with the utmost empathy, professionalism and confidentiality.
All of this is structured around a strict action protocol, coordinated internally and backed by on-site support spaces. Across the board, we have the Purple Point, a physical space for information, awareness and direct support run by specialised staff.
